INTERMEDIATE 4 Week Board and Train
Service Description
Intermediate/Advanced 4-Week Board & Train Program (8 Months & Up). Includes everything from the Puppy Beginner and Puppy Intermediate programs: • Potty Training & Schedule: Consistent routine to prevent accidents and inappropriate house elimination. • Kennel Comfort: Helping your dog feel safe and relaxed in a crate or kennel. • Leash Training: Walking politely on a leash without pulling or lunging. • Basic Obedience: Foundational commands such as sit, down, come, stay, and place. • Sharper Obedience & Implied Stays: Teaching immediate response, precise positioning, and holding commands without repeated cues. • Impulse Control: Managing excitement and waiting for cues before acting. • Socialization & Excitement Management: Staying calm around other dogs, people, and new situations. • Household Management: Preventing free roaming, chewing, destructive, or sneaky behaviors. • Positive & Balanced Reinforcement: Using reward-based methods combined with guidance to build a confident, well-adjusted dog. • Public Exposure & Outings: Confidence-building in new environments outside the home. • Calmness in the Car: Remaining relaxed during car rides. • Public Obedience Practice: Reinforcing commands and impulse control around distractions in public spaces. • Polite Public Walking: Walking on a proper heel in neighborhoods, parks, or other public areas. • Managing Reactivity in Public: Preventing barking, jumping, or lunging at people and dogs. • Controlled Exposure to Stimuli: Introducing different surfaces, sounds, and situations to reduce fear or overexcitement. Additional Intermediate/Work for Older Dogs (8 Months & Up): • Long-Duration Commands: Teaching your dog to hold sit, down, stay, and place for extended periods inside and outside the home. • Calmness During Daily Life & Guests: Ensuring your dog remains relaxed and well-behaved during regular household routines and when visitors arrive. • Advanced Public Manners: Reliable behavior in public, including stores, restaurants, and busy environments. • E-Collar Introduction (Optional): Teaching communication and off-leash reliability, using the E-collar as a tool for guidance, not correction. • Confidence Building: Strengthening your dog’s confidence in new environments while enhancing your confidence as an owner. • Relationship & Trust Development: Reinforcing the bond between you and your dog for consistent, predictable behavior anywhere. -1 Week Free Refresher Training -4 PrivateLessons
